If there’s anything we should have seen coming, it’s this. How many times does a dude like Pharrell Williams have to wear a classic three-striped Adidas Fireband jacket before we realize what’s really up? After weeks of speculation, the news has finally broken. Skateboard P has inked an exclusive design deal with Adidas, slated to debut Summer 2014—so start saving your coins now, cause this will be MAY-JAH! Of course, this isn't your typical run-of-the-mill celebrity endorsement campaign (duh, it’s Pharrell).
The latest collaboration will include Pharrell’s Bionic Yarn. You know, that totally scientific thing that turns plastic debris from the oceans into yarn and fabric? Yeah, that. What’s even more amazing is that this will be the first time Adidas will collaborate with a designer who owns a textile company—a first for Adidas, but not so much for the multi-hyphenate producer-turned-artist-turned-designer-turned...we can go on and on.
Mr. Williams is no stranger to the footwear and clothing world. Remember his line of Ice Cream sneakers with Reebok and that time he worked with legendary designer Mark McNairy? Not to mention his affiliation with major brands like A Bathing Ape, Timberland, and more. With an impressive résumé like that under his belt—*achem*— hat, we’re totally stoked about what’s to come from his newest venture, and so is P!

Pharrell Williams continues to get lucky; he is pretty much dominating the world at this point. His latest announcement with Adidas is only just one of his brand partnerships to be released this year—remember that fragrance he’s got in the works? If he has it his way, which he totally will, in 2014 we’ll be dressing, smelling, and feeling happy just like the icon.
